Sukhothai

Show Map

A hidden gem in the Méridien Village, with traditional décor and hand carved wooden interiors. Your experience is enriched by thoughtful touches. Customers are greeted by a coconut water with orchid garnish, amuse-bouche and part with a gift pouch of chef’s homemade curry paste. Prices are very reasonable and we highly recommend the Khong Wang Sukhothai appetiser selection (try not to fight over the homemade pastry cups), as well as the Pla Sam Lee Thod Nam Pla (deep fried fish with mango salad) and Khao Phad Poo (crab meat fried rice). For groups of 8 or less reserve the private dining room (round table seating tucked at the back of the restaurant behind silk curtains and an intricately carved wooden trellis). There is also an alfresco terrace, if you desire a more casual setting, amidst the revelers of the Village’s neighbouring pub and restaurants. CP Tip: The Phanaeng Goong Mang Gorn (live stir-fried lobster in red curry sauce) is pretty special…
