Impressive menu and service in Sanjeev Kapoor's tucked away culinary cove. Nix the ominous silver hanging fabric, this restaurant is not just another 'celeb chef does Dubai'. A true feast for the senses, with a thoughtfully devised menu of Indian favourites including delicious Gharha cooking. Carefully fused with Europe and the Orient, buttermilk palate cleansers and a water menu as long as Sheikh Zayed Rd, we especially like the test tube touches and pretty as a picture presentation of rich and colourful dishes (not too 'fine dining finicky' or overwhelming in size). The head chef Akshay Nayyar, clearly channels more than a passion for food and his desserts are a perfect way to close the deal, with gulab jamun, bhapa doi and rasmalai as fundamental crowd pleasers. CP Tip: The dal and slow cooked baby goat rogan josh are outstanding.
