This Latin American restaurant is inspired by head chef and owner, Neil Witney’s travels. Previous group executive chef of London’s Ricker Restaurants (whose portfolio includes hotspot Bodega Negra) this is the first of Witney’s own concepts. The two-story space with terrace looking onto The Beach, is a mix of Aztec/industrial. Their shisha and cigar lounge offers a rooftop terrace with suspended swing benches and mocktail bar. Dishes range from poached lobster tacos with blue corn, mango and jicama, to other sharing options like ceviche baja sea bass and tostados huevos rancheros with fried quail eggs and salsa comal. A small but well-formed selection of mains, include slow-cooked lamb barbacoa served with salsa pasilla and fresh tortillas, and Josper-roasted sea bass with red and green adobe. CP Tip: Poco Loco’s churros with cinnamon sugar and cajeta (caramelised goats milk with an additional touch of Chef’s secret recipe) are a crowd pleaser.
