Instagram worthiness aside, this innovative and modern Indian restaurant serves delicious, much-loved recipes fused with European influences (they even have Gruyere Pav Bhaji Fondue). Don’t expect faff and dry ice, there’s plenty of substance; hearty, rich portions of fresh seafood, Indian street food and for the purists, classic curries, leaving you spoilt for choice. The 'trade mark' House of Curry Mona Lisa is still staring down, from behind her wooden cladding, but this place has had more than just an interior make-over. The accomplished Executive Chef runs a tight ship, the kitchen is semi-open, spotless and creativity is encouraged. In cooler months you can sit on the terrace that runs alongside the beach walk and watch while the cooks spin roti above their heads.
CP Tip: We can recommend the Guac Pani Poori, Ghee Roast Coconut Crab and Burrata Butter Chicken. The desserts are a sight to behold and more advanced than what you would expect from a casual Indian restaurant on The Beach. A must is the Coconut Rasmalai with salted caramel.
