In its 10th year Art Dubai 2016 will feature its largest and most internationally diverse line up to date. There will be 94 galleries from 40 countries presenting rare works by Middle Eastern, African and Asian modern masters through to the world's most notable contemporary artists. This year there will also be a focus on galleries from the Philippines in their Marker section. Beyond the fair halls you'll find a compelling line-up complete with this year's winner of the Abraaj Capital Art Prize, film screenings, book launches, performances, art commissions and of course the Global Art Forum talks programme.
Titled ‘The Future Was’, the 2016 Global Art Forum explores the ways in which artists, writers, technologists, historians, musicians and thinkers have imagined (and are shaping) the future, with its customary series of live talks, panels, performances and commissioned projects.
The Global Art Forum takes place daily at Art Dubai on Fort Island, Madinat Jumeirah from 16-19 March.
Concluding their 6-month artist in residency a selection of upcoming artists will unveil their site-specific projects at Art Dubai. A mixture of UAE and International artists their work encompasses a range of mediums and disciplines including silk-screening, installation, sculpture, and audio-visual.

Design Days Dubai returns to bring us the latest in collectable design with a curated selection of 47 galleries. As ever it’s a global feast with designs from all over the world and a strong representation of Middle Eastern designers. The wider public programme is filled with insightful and inspiring projects, talks, workshops, performances, book launches and guided tours so stick around for this one.
Design Days Dubai takes place March 14 – 17, 4-10pm and March 18 1-7pm at The Venue, Downtown Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.
‘WASL’, is an exhibition from the Emirates featuring over 25 design pieces that have been designed or produced in the UAE over the past 5 years, ranging from furniture objects to lighting and graphic prints.
‘WASL’ is on show at Design Days Dubai, The Venue, Downtown Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.
Taking place at Art Dubai, The Wedding Project is a new performative project that will playfully transform two rooms at Madinat Jumeirah into an artist-created wedding hall, where you will be welcomed into the experience.

HEAT is the first solo exhibition in the Middle East of renowned photographer Mario Testino. Displaying some of his most iconic artworks of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bündchen, Natalia Vodianova and Cara Delevingne, they represent his strength in capturing the crossroads of Fashion, Portraiture and Fine Art.

If you're looking for regional artists, then head down to Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood by the Creek, where artists from all over the GCC will showcase their artworks. The 10-day programme also includes film screenings, live music, an array of educational activities, as well as visual, performing, and cinematic artists.
Sikka Art Fair will take place at Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood from Sunday 13 March, 4pm – Thursday 24 March, 10pm.
Alserkal Avenue's galleries art night is all the more enticing during Art Week and this year is no exception. Not only do the galleries present their most hotly anticipated shows of the year, there are also new galleries opening and pop-up exhibitions and events. This year Alserkal Avenue further announced that six artists have been commissioned to make new site-specific artworks in response to the built environment of the Avenue; to dissolve borders, reveal hidden spaces and view-points, highlight the incoherence of the neighbourhood and challenge notions of permanence and place.
Alserkal Avenue Galleries Night takes place on Monday 14 March 2016, 6-9pm.
Back by popular demand, RCA Secret Dubai; Dubai's edition of the Royal College of Art's anonymous art exhibition and sale returns during Art Week. The exhibition will feature 1,000 original post-card size artworks displayed for sale at Alserkal Avenue (March 14-19) and Art Dubai (March 17-19). The anonymous collection is created and donated by regionally and internationally acclaimed artists and designers, plus alumni from the Royal College of Art in London. With each artwork costing a set fee of 500 Dirhams you could be walking away with an original artwork by a world-renowned artist at a fraction of the value.
